Johnny Martindale - 'Mabjohn'
resides at the little town of New Mills, which is on the fringe of Greater Manchester, where it meets up with the hills and moors of the Peak District.
He could possibly be described as being a somewhat wild and eccentric, but very creative individual who has always had a passion for the Arts, with a particularly strong affinity towards music, which he has been involved with for a great deal of his life.
He has been a well known Rock DJ, a singer in several bands and presently is going down a storm, performing a psychotic guest spot with a local rock outfit.
Over the last 4 or 5 years he has been developing his flair for poetry and has had two books published to date. He is a very prolific poet and his poetic style is generally pretty hard hitting and daring, sometimes anarchic, sometimes extremely humorous - sometimes deeply moving and often deals with oblique and somewhat weird or esoteric subjects.
Quite recently he has been encouraged to try recording some of the poetry along with music and the results of this have turned out to be extremely amazing and have been very well recieved when performed in public. So at this point in time he as produced a CD entitled 'Johnny Martindale Unleashed' which contains 20 Wild and Whacky tracks, of which 14 have been self recorded, with most of the music being composed and played by himself.
